Everyone knows that smoking is cool and awesome and all, and that the best way to spark up all that tarry goodness is to use a lighter filled with gasoline. But as iconic as the Zippo is, what if you could get it customized with, say, a picture of your kids so you could see them and imagine your future together, every time you light up?

Well, now you can. Zippo has launched a tool to let you individually customize and buy the classic Zippo of your choice and have it delivered to your door. The browser-based (Flash) tool lets you choose the lighter's finish, its color and even upload a photograph or image to print on there. This has of course been possible for large corporate orders before, but this is the first time it has been made available to you and me.

Of course, cigarette lighters aren't just for cigarettes. Campers, cooks and arsonists love them too. If you decide to buy one for the pyromaniac in your life, the base lighters run from $15 to $21, and adding a photo or image will cost another $15.

I'm pretty tempted. Back when I started smoking, I used a Zippo, and I think the laydeez loved it every bit as much as they loved my yellowing fingertips and reeking breath. Happy days!
