One thing I've learned about places like Facebook and Twitter is that just because you've discovered something interesting doesn't mean that everyone has. Links, images, and stories that I've seen weeks ago still pop up as new to some people I follow. I'm sure the opposite is also true. So in the spirit of sharing awesome, here are a few sites that have recently come across my virtual desk.
This website/app is a game where you can explore and race through Wikipedia articles to complete a goal. Be the fastest to your goal, have the fewest clicks, or find something without using "United States" in your search criteria. Have some fun and learn something along the way.

If that didn't say all that you needed, yup, they're from the Lord of the Rings from the 1970s.
If you'd like to create your own little Star Wars-themed world, check out these examples on Etsy. Perhaps make some for Star Trek (red shirts, anyone?) or Dr. Horrible. Or just buy the masterpieces that Etsy user Megatone230 has created.
