RiffTrax is asking for your help. Yes, they want to do another live RiffTrax recording. This time they want to do the internet-proclaimed worst movie ever: Twilight. There is no guarantee that they can secure the rights to Twilight, and that’s where you the fans can help.
A Kickstarter project outlining the devious plan to simulcast a RiffTrax performance in theaters across the United States this coming August launched yesterday. Within two hours they met their $55,000 goal. The RiffTrax guys – Mike, Bill, and Kevin – have made it clear that even if they are unable to obtain the rights to Twilight, they will secure an equally awesome movie. The more funds they secure for the project, the better the chances of getting the rights or possibly cool famous guests. If you would like to contribute to this project, the awesome rewards you would expect from RiffTrax are available for backing the project.
Personally, Twilight paired with the RiffTrax mp3 is the only way I’ll watch the movie … cuing Benny Hill theme in 3 … 2 … 1…
