The Swedish log technique was developed by the Swedish army between 1618 and 1648, and involves splitting a log into four to create space for a fire inside. The MITI-001 is an update of this, created by Canadian designer Cédric Sportes. Four steel rods grip the split-log segments, holding them together as they burn, while a laser-cut stainless-steel circle provides a stable stovetop. $65 CAD
