Carnival’s High-Tech Cruise Wearable Knows Your Every Need
Released on 01/03/2017
We're looking at Carnival's new cruise experience,
Ocean Medallion.
Where every person who boards the Regal Princess
this November is gonna receive a special little token
that helps the ship anticipate everything that they need.
Part of the experience is this LED display.
There's gonna be 4,000 of these
distributed throughout the ship.
And if you walk up, put your medallion to it,
it's gonna show you your itinerary,
including,
the weather, if it's gonna rain.
It's gonna show you your activities that are planned
for that day, including evening chill time,
which we all need.
And it'll also anticipate that it's your birthday.
In this case, I'm Amy, happy birthday to me.
As well as, giving you choices to buy things
based on if you are at, say the pool.
It'll say, hey do wanna buy a margarita?
Someone will bring you that margarita.
It'll know that you like margaritas,
based on previous drink choices.
It basically knows who you are, what you want,
when you want it,
without you having to lift a finger.
It's coming in November to one Carnival boat
and then it's gonna spread out across this fleet from there.
