Yes sir.

Always.

Never broke up.

Wu-Tang Clan is a family.

That's right.

Even if I don't like today, I still got to love them.

You got to love me tomorrow.

[loud laughing]

[U-God] Is Wu-Tang Clan east or west?

Coast? East or west coast?

We're the Beasts of the East, baby.

No, we global baby, we global.

[Inspectah Deck] Is Wu-Tang Clan from Staten Island?

I'm from Brooklyn.

I'm from Brooklyn too, I was born in Brooklyn.

He was born in Brooklyn, I was born in the Bronx.

We all from New York City.

But we migrated to Staten Island.

It's Wu-Tang I guess the Clan, the music started there

but we have members from all over New York.

[U-God] Next joint.

[Inspectah Deck] Another one?

[U-God] Is Wu-Tang Clan gangsta rap?

Noooooo.

I wouldn't really say that

We got some gangsta [beep] we could talk about but...

But no, as far as gangster rap, like, not.

Nah, Nah, Nah, we talk a lot street [beep]

we make street [beep] popular.

Is Logic in the Wu-Tang Clan?

[laughing]

He might as well be, Logic's a fun little man.

I like Logic man, he used to be able to

roll with me back in the days touring,

and did a couple of shows before he was,

you know, Logic Logic.

Hell no, Logic ain't no Wu...

We got to split the pie again?

We already got 52 members man,

Logic come on in man.

Might have to jump him in though,

he might get his chest caved in a little bit though.

Old school [beep], you got to hold your chest out

and let somebody come in and pound [beep] out.

Respect to Logic.

We love you little man, we love you.

What does Wu-Tang Clan mean?

Wu-Tang Clan to me, means brotherhood.

What does Wu-Tang Clan rap about?

What we rap about, we rap about everything.

Everything under the sun you could think about.

We rap about science, sun, what's the square

miles of planet earth.

A to Z

A to Z

A to Z

Yeah

Peel it, peel it off.

[U-God] What does Wu-Tang Clan stand for?

Loyalty is royalty.

You got to stand for something

or you'll fall for anything, right?

I think we stand for real hip-hop.

Yeah, originality.

We stand Wu-Tang Clan's nothing to [beep] with.

What they talking about?

What does Wu-Tang Clan Gravel Pit mean?

I never knew what that shit mean either.

Gravel pit?

That's one we ain't got no answer for man.

[U-God] I never knew what that meant my damn self.

♪ Check out my gravel pit. ♪

[U-God] I don't know what that means.

I think, because when RZA made the beat

and he heard the song, I remember him saying

it sounded like a Flintstoney type of thing.

Yeah, I can't remember, but that why we did the

video looking like the Flintstones and stuff like that.

I can't remember, wow.

There was dinosaurs and ninjas in the video.

We was out in the desert,

it was 150 degrees with minks on.

I did all that, and I didn't even get in the video.

[laughing]

He was there all day, you were in there.

With a mink coat, you like see me one time with

the mink, like, Why does he have a

mink on in there? For two seconds.

In the desert.

[Jamel] Who formed Wu-Tang Clan?

Formed Wu-Tang Clan.

Hmmm, that's a good one.

That's a crazy one, I feel like we all formed together.

Right.

But you know, RZA was the main factor.

You know, he was the common... he was like the main magnet.

Yeah, I think Ghost actually took the name

from the Wu-Tang movies, and made like...

If something was cool or it was hot,

It's Wu-Tang, yeah that's Wu

Yeah, Ghost did say that.

But formed the Clan?

Formed, the Clan.

But formed the Clan, I would give that to RZA, right?

Yeah.

Give that to RZA.

[U-God] Who is the leader of the Wu-Tang Clan?

Yeah, we all kind of lead ourselves,

and by an agreement of collective minds

coming together as one, you know,

we all say, what we're going to do

and what we're not going to do.

Yeah, there's no like, one leader,

but if you had to look at head,

I mean, you would have to give that to RZA too.

I'd give that to the album, to Diggs.

[Jamel] Who is Wu-Tang Clan now?

Who are we now with age today though?

Oh, okay?

I mean I think we like the Black Rolling Stones,

or the Beatles or some [beep], you know,

the hip hop version, I would say.

Yeah.

[Jamel] Who is the best Wu-Tang Clan member?

Now if it comes down to a show,

anybody can be MVP that night.

Yeah.

Anybody could be Most Valuable Player

when it comes to a show.

But we have nights were Ghost might kill it,

and another night Juss might kill it, Mev,

whoever, Eugene, and it goes on and on.

[Inspectah Deck] Why is Wu-Tang Clan called Wu-Tang?

Witty Unpredictable Talent And Naturally Gifted.

Naturally gifted, natural game.

Wu-Tang is also the best sword style of Kung Fu

so being that we say that our lyrics and our

words are like swords, you know,

we saw ourselves as the best MCs so

we decided to call ourselves Wu-Tang Clan.

Because we felt we had the best sword style of rhyming.

[Inspectah Deck] Why is Wu-Tang Clan the best?

I do like to hear it from other people,

you know what I mean, but for one reason that I would say.

I don't think that there's a group with our size...

And magnitude that made it that successful.

...in hip hop that made it to this level

you know, that we've taken it to

that's all I can really say.

And still be here.

Plus something, we include everybody too.

Like Wu-Tang man, I went to Russia, Croatia,

I've been all over the world and people are...

They're more Wu-Tang than I am.

[Jamel] Why is Wu-Tang Clan important?

Because somebody's got to lay the blueprint down,

to how to do this man.

You know, the young generation is growing up,

they're doing what they do, they doing their thing

but you know, you want to keep this hip hop

and keep the spirit of the craft alive.

I think we're important, I think you need to

study us and look up the history.

Kind of like, if you're a young football player

and you go on back and you study Jerry Rice,

and you're looking at the greats of the game,

how did you be great?

I think...

You could take a page out of our books.

[Inspectah Deck] Take a peel off our poster too.

[Jamel] Why did Wu-Tang Clan break up?

We never broke up.

Who wrote that [beep]?

We never broke up.

Sons of bitches.

It was always designed that we would do

solo wise, and we're all stars in our right individually.

But we never broke up, we always come back together

and do what we do.

[Jamel] Why did Wu-Tang Clan only make one album?

What?

What?

Who's writing these questions?

Who? Who's the researcher right here?

We about five albums deep.

Yeah, Wu-Tang Clan's about five albums in.

Five six albums deep.

For sure, we got, Enter the 36 Chambers, the W,

Iron Flag, Wu-Tang Forever, A Better Tomorrow,

8 Diagrams, that's six.

That's six.

[Jamel] What is Wu-Tang Clan style?

No, there's no father to the style, baby, I'm sorry.

It's a formless formation.

That's right, it's water.

It's just a energy, I think we don't have

a style, we have an energy.

[Jamel] What is the best Wu-Tang Clan album?

I'd take the first one, me personally,

because that's the one that set it off.

Yeah, that's tough, I'd say between that

and Forever.

Yeah, yeah.

[Jamel] What is the Wu-Tang Clan's best song?

Dope ones is definitely Wu-Gambinos,

that's one of my favorites.

You said best song? That's tough.

One day it's Rumble, other day it's Do that Dance,

the next day, for me I go listen to Hypothermics,

you know I'll go back...

It's moody, it's moody, whatever mood you want to be in.

[Inspectah Deck] That's dope.

[Jamel] What is the Wu-Tang Clans logo?

Logo? What is it, the eagle? A yellow eagle?

It's the W right?

It's the W and an eagle, like some type

of bird of some sort.

DJ Mathematics, he put that one together.

That's right he did, put his foot in it,

put his ankle in that one.

[Jamel] What is the Wu-Tang Clan Wednesday?

Wu-Tang Wednesday's, you mean Wu-Tang Wednesdays.

When we play nothing but Wu-Tang Clan on

our podcast radio.

People around the world celebrate Wednesday

as officially Wu-Day, it's okay to wear

any Wu-Tang gear you got.

Kick any Wu-Tang rhymes, you know,

post up any Wu, I love that.

[Inspectah Deck] How was Wu-Tang Clan formed?

[U-God] How was it Formed?

Wow.

By a common interest, friendship, comradery,

Brotherhood.

Brotherhood, you know, A-Alike B-Alike we all C-Alike.

GZA having them dope tracks.

Yeah, and he had the sanctuary for us to get away

from all that crazy [beep] we was going through.

We wanted to get away from all the drugs

and the guns and the police.

We'd go to his house and it was just a calm spot

for us to be in, you know.

How did the Wu-Tang Clan get their name?

Shaolin versus Wu-Tang I believe it is,

the original movie where they mention the Wu-Tang,

and Wu-Tang wanted to break away from Shaolin Temple,

and Shaolin with the monks and Budda's name be praised,

and Wu-Tang was like yo...

Wu-Tang was like the rebels.

Yeah, we not turning the other cheek, we want

to go out there and handle those dudes.

They rebelled against the temple and then were kicked out.

So we kind of took that approach to say,

that's how we was in the industry.

We were the outcasts of the industry.

[U-God] What is the Wu-Tang Clan's most popular song?

Dream is a very popular song.

Right.

I mean, but then you got other songs like,

Jodei, featuring Ray and Ghost.

C.R.E.A.M. and Triumph, one of them I would say.

Yeah, they might be.

Gravel Pit is popular too now.

It's weird, Gravel Pit is weird.

Even a song like Method Man, very popular.

Very popular, Shimmy Shimmy.

Yeah, Shimmy Shimmy. Brooklyn Zoo.

Brooklyn Zoo, you know it's like...

I'd like to say the first album.

[U-God] How many members does Wu-Tang Clan have?

We still have our eight.

Right, I added nine.

Cap's ten.

Cap's ten. So...

Then we got like Street Life...

Right, right

Red Man is official.

I mean even NOS, you know what I mean brothers.

You know that came in our circle and really repped

since the beginning man, it's like family.

He's family, there's probably a strong 13,

original, like day one people of us...

Busta Rhymes, you can't forget Busta.

Yeah.

You know what I mean?

Oh yeah, the extended family's crazy.

Right.

You know the extended Wu Tang family is nuts.

Dave Chappelle is Wu-Tang...

[loud laughter]

We got everybody, come on in, we got them all.

[U-God] Wu-Tang Clan hand sign?

W is just, like your wings, take flight

we used to do this at the show,

make everybody flap you wings, and then...

It's not, you know, West Coast done took that.

Yeah, West Coast has got the W like that.

So we just try to make our own little thing,

like there's an emoji that does this one right here.

So this is kind of was the emoji,

and this was the original that just shows the pride.

Chuck it.

Shwag it.

Well, that was it Google, smoogle, and boogle.

You know, we dealing with, I mean, this is 25 years later.

It's a whole different generation of listeners.

So, you know, I don't think any question is a bad question.

I mean a question is for people who wants to know.

Who want to know. So I think that was the nine

to fifteen age bracket though.

[loud laughter]
